QS / Estimator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) / Estimator to join our Carpentry Workshop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for carpentry projects, managing material procurement costs, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and budgets for carpentry projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to quantify required carpentry materials and labor.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Source and negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best value for materials and services.
• Monitor and control project costs throughout the production cycle to ensure adherence to budgets.
• Prepare tender documents, quotations, and bids for carpentry contracts.
• Perform cost analysis and risk assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, costs, and project financials.
• Assist in the preparation of progress reports and manage variations and claims.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as a QS or Estimator in carpentry or woodworking workshops.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry materials, processes, and industry pricing standards.
• Proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR4,500.00 per month
