Qualified Electrician

Houghton Parkhouse, an award-winning specialist in the design and manufacture of commercial livestock vehicles, is seeking a Fully Qualified Electrician with domestic and commercial electrical experience to join our growing team due to high demand for our specialist products. Ideally, you will also have some automotive wiring experience; however, this is not essential. In this position, you will work with our team on the electrical systems within our manufactured products, creating customised solutions that meet the requirements of our clients within the UK and EU markets.

Job Description:

· Install, maintain, and test electrical systems primarily within our manufactured products, in line with relevant standards and safety regulations.

· Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, ensuring safe and efficient operation of all equipment and components.

· Collaborate with design, production, and electrical teams to implement reliable and compliant electrical solutions.

· Perform inspections to identify any potential electrical faults and resolve them promptly.

· Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including testing and maintenance logs.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical processes and standards within the company.

Requirements:

· Fully Qualified Electrician (with appropriate certifications, e.g., 18th Edition or equivalent).

· Demonstrable experience in domestic and/or commercial electrical installations.

· Automotive wiring experience is beneficial but not essential.

· Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and relevant electrical codes/regulations.

· Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance within electrical work.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Benefits:

· Monday-Friday, 8 am-4.45 pm – 40 hours per week
