Qualified Electrician (Renewables) – Full-Time, Permanent

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified electrician to join our growing renewable energy team on a full-time, long-term basis.

This is a field-based role working across Manchester and the North West, installing and supporting renewable energy systems including Solar PV, Battery Storage, and Air Source Heat Pumps.

We are not looking for short-term labour — we want someone reliable who is looking for consistent work and long-term stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installations in domestic and light commercial properties
• Install and assist with Solar PV, Battery Storage, and ASHP systems
• Perform testing, inspection, and commissioning
• Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 and industry standards
• Complete all required certification and documentation
• Work independently and maintain high-quality standards on-site

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
• ECS Gold Card
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Ability to work independently without supervision
• Full UK driving licence

Preferred (Not Essential)

• Experience with Solar PV or renewable energy systems
• Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent)
• MCS-related training or experience

Pay & Structure

Salary and payment structure are flexible and will depend on experience.

We are open to:

• Full-time employed (PAYE)
• Subcontractor / self-employed (paid per job or per installation)
