Position Summary:
The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) is responsible for coordinating and monitoring services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The QIDP ensures that services are person-centered, compliant with regulatory standards, and designed to support individuals in achieving meaningful outcomes and independence.
This role serves as a liaison between individuals, families, support staff, interdisciplinary teams, and external agencies to ensure quality care and service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individual Support Plans (ISPs) in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Conduct assessments and participate in person-centered planning meetings.
- Ensure services are provided in accordance with DC DDS, DDA, Medicaid, and company policies and procedures.
- Monitor documentation, service delivery, and program implementation for compliance and quality assurance.
- Conduct regular visits to residential homes, day programs, and community settings.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other staff.
- Maintain communication with families, guardians, case managers, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders.
- Track individual progress toward goals and recommend modifications when necessary.
- Ensure incidents, behavioral concerns, and health/safety issues are properly documented and addressed.
- Assist with audits, investigations, and corrective action plans as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies when required.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, reports, and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience working directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of DC DDS/DDA regulations and person-centered practices preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Clear CBC Background check results
- Negative TB Results
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certificate (in-person training)

Pay: $50,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
