A Web Quality Assurance (QA) tester ensures websites and web applications function correctly, are user-friendly, and meet all specified quality standards before they are released to the public. The primary goal is to provide a seamless and error-free user experience (UX), prevent issues, and protect the brand's reputation. Key ResponsibilitiesA web QA tester's typical duties span the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) and include both manual and automated testing:

  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborating with developers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and define clear acceptance criteria.
  • Test Planning & Case Creation: Developing comprehensive test plans and writing detailed test cases and scripts to cover various scenarios.
  • Test Execution: Running planned tests (manual and automated) to identify bugs, errors, and inconsistencies in the website's functionality and design.
  • Bug Documentation & Reporting: Meticulously documenting all defects with detailed notes, screenshots, and technical context (browser, device, OS, screen resolution) using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, BugHerd).
  • Collaboration: Working closely with development and design teams to communicate findings, troubleshoot issues, and verify fixes.
  • Regression Testing: Re-testing existing functionalities after changes or new features are introduced to ensure that no new problems have been created (known as "regressions").
  • Performance & Security Testing: Checking the website's speed, responsiveness under load, and scanning for security vulnerabilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹11,668.53 - ₹22,000.00 per month
