Key Responsibilities
Software Testing
- Conduct manual testing to identify bugs, defects, and inconsistencies.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Perform usability, UAT, and cross-browser testing.
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases and test scenarios.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure product quality meets business and technical requirements.
- Review PRDs, BRDs, SRS, and design documents to understand system features.
- Identify gaps in requirements and report potential risks.
Bug Reporting & Documentation
- Log defects clearly in tools like Jira, Trello, Asana, or Bugzilla.
- Prepare detailed test reports and QA documentation.
- Track and verify bug fixes during development cycles.
Collaboration
- Work closely with developers, project managers, and designers.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint meetings, and product demos.
- Communicate testing progress, issues, and potential improvements.
Process Improvement
- Suggest improvements to QA processes and best practices.
- Support test automation initiatives if required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience as a QA/Software Tester in an IT environment.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
- Hands-on experience with test management and bug tracking tools.
- Knowledge of SQL, API testing (Postman), and basic automation (Selenium) is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Basic understanding of automation frameworks.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Exposure to mobile app testing is a plus.
