Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement Manager

The Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Manager plays a critical leadership role in supporting customer satisfaction, quality management systems, and operational excellence across Lovibond’s local and global operations. This position leads quality monitoring, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies, Kaizen events, and the Global Lovibond Management System.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support and promote Lovibond’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final product quality audits
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials and finished goods
  • Identify, document, and manage material non-conformances using global complaint databases
  • Prepare Quality Alerts and Non-Conformance Records for internal and external suppliers
  • Manage and resolve customer quality complaints to successful closure
  • Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving tools
  • Analyze quality and process data; prepare reports and charts (e.g., Pareto analysis)
  • Conduct Layered Process Audits and lead internal and external QMS audits
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015)
  • Lead and participate in Lean initiatives and Kaizen events with manufacturing teams
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and customer requirements
  • Handle product disposition according to quality specifications
  • Support document control and continuous improvement activities
  • Transact inspections and dispositions within the ERP system
  • Lead the local Quality Team and collaborate with the Global Quality Team
  • Maintain confidentiality and a safe work environment
  • Stay current with industry best practices and educational opportunities
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong observational skills

  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Process-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and repeatability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Thorough working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments
Education & Experience
  • Associate degree or certification plus 5+ years of advanced quality assurance experience (bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 3+ years in a Quality Assurance leadership role within manufacturing
  • 3+ years’ hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems
  • 3+ years’ experience using Lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience with cGMPs, Dangerous Goods labeling, customer specifications, and regulatory compliance
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer
  • Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Limited, occasional domestic and international travel
