Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Timings: 12 PM to 9 PM Pakistan Time

About the Role

Botmer is looking for a highly experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who can take full ownership of our testing processes. You will be responsible for designing and implementing test plans, creating and executing test cases, and ensuring the overall quality of complex software systems. This role requires expertise in both manual and automated testing, with strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test procedures, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform manual testing across web, mobile, and backend systems to ensure functionality, usability, and performance.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, log, prioritize, and track defects using standard QA tools.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure high product quality.
• Conduct performance, load, and security testing where required.
• Improve QA workflow, documentation, and overall testing coverage.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and testing best practices.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.
• Strong manual testing skills with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
• Experience writing clear test plans, test cases, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
• Ability to communicate issues clearly and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
• Experience in testing APIs, microservices, mobile apps, and modern web applications.
• Knowledge of bug-tracking tools like Jira, Trello, or Linear.

Nice to Have

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, K6).
• Understanding of automation frameworks built in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience in AI or machine-learning product testing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs120,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
