We are looking for a person that is positive, energetic, forward-thinking and can be a part of a team.
The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for inspecting materials and products for conformance to specifications using fixed or preset measuring instruments. Ensures all inspected material and products are in accordance with established tolerance levels for quality and workmanship. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.
Inspects products manufactured or processed by private companies for use to ensure compliance with contract specifications by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Examines company's records to secure such information as size and weight of product and results of quality tests.
-Inspects product to determine compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system for compliance with legal requirements, and shipping and packing facilities for conformity to specified standards.
-Material receiving inspection
-First article inspections
-Process Inspections
-Final part inspections
-Non-conformance reports
-Provides back up support for Lead Quality Inspector
-Provides support to Quality Assurance Manager with data analysis and reporting of company metrics.
-Assists in following up on corrective actions to ensure timely completion.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Aerospace Industry experience required.
Quality assurance experience required.
Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
Proficient using inspection instruments, including calipers, micrometers, height gauge, dial indicators, optical comparator and CMM
General Knowledge of quality processes, familiarization with AS9100
