Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician I

The Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician I plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, safety, and quality of our laboratory operations. Working in a regulated environment that may involve biological specimens and chemicals, this position supports product releases, customer investigations, and research and development initiatives. The technician will be trained across multiple laboratory functions—including microtomy, cryostat operation, microscopy, CO₂ incubators, laminar flow hoods, and autoclaves—while processing and preparing tissue and cytology samples with precision and care. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, passionate about laboratory science, and motivated to contribute to meaningful, high-impact work

Location: on-site Portsmouth, NH facility.

What you will be doing:
Execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings.

Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypotheses using refined scientific methods.

Organize, store and discard chemicals substances and fluids according to safety instructions.

Prepare, record, and maintain data, performed work and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility.

Maintain equipment and assist in keeping the inventory of materials used.

Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment

Prepare and maintain calibration standards and various laboratory reagents.

Skills you will need:
Associates or bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry preferred

3+ years of relative lab experience.

Basic knowledge of general chemistry and/or histology.

Experience performing repetitive laboratory procedures in a regulated environment preferred.

Experience maintaining laboratory records, documentation, or sample tracking preferred.

Experience documenting laboratory results and procedures in written reports preferred.

Experience managing multiple laboratory tests, projects, or assignments simultaneously.

Experience working in a fast-paced laboratory, manufacturing, or production environment.

Moderate physical demands including ability to lift up to 25 lbs., bend, reach, climb ladders and stand for extended periods.

The hiring range for this position is: $22-$28/hour, plus individuals may be eligible for a quarterly discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
