Job Title: Quality Assurance Lead (Senior QA Analyst)

We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Assurance Lead to drive QA efforts across multiple application initiatives. This is a hands-on role requiring strong ownership, where the candidate will execute testing while also helping establish QA processes, standards, and best practices in a maturing environment.
Testing & Execution
- Perform functional, exploratory, and regression testing
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and scenarios
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps
- Analyze application behavior and identify testing gaps and risks
Test Planning & Strategy
- Create and contribute to test plans aligned with release cycles
- Recommend test coverage, prioritization, and risk mitigation strategies
- Support Agile sprint and release testing cycles
Process Improvement & Leadership
- Help establish and standardize QA processes and frameworks
- Contribute to QA documentation and best practices
- Provide guidance to junior testers (non-supervisory)
- Participate in QA maturity assessment and identify improvement areas
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders
- Communicate testing results, risks, and recommendations effectively
- Support cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality applications
- Executed test cases and documented results
- Comprehensive test plans and QA documentation
- Detailed defect reports
- Risk assessments and testing recommendations
- Contributions to standardized QA frameworks
- 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance
- Strong hands-on testing experience (manual focus)
- Deep understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile environments
- Experience with:
- Test case creation and execution
- Functional and exploratory testing
- Test planning and documentation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of QA efforts
- Comfortable working in unstructured or evolving environments
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration
- Knowledge of accessibility testing (WCAG standards)
- Experience with enterprise or government systems
- Background in building or improving QA processes
