Quality Assurance Manager
What You’ll Do:
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for elevating and protecting quality standards across the entire Thrive portfolio. This position ensures operational excellence, asset integrity, and a high-quality resident and guest experience. The Quality Assurance Manager serves as a critical bridge between Construction, Community Management, Facilities and Experience, ensuring seamless transitions, reducing repeat failures, and driving long-term asset performance.
The ideal candidate combines a strong construction foundation with multi-family operational experience and brings a coaching mindset, analytical skillset, and a sharp eye for quality.

What You’ll be Responsible for:
Quality Assurance & Site Inspections
- Conduct routine site quality assurance reviews across the portfolio.
- Participate in unit walks, construction site walks, model inspections, and conduct spot checks to proactively identify where quality improvements efforts should be made.
- Evaluate unit interiors, common areas, amenity spaces, back-of-house areas, exterior appeal, and overall asset condition.
- Assess compliance with Thrive operational standards, brand standards, and maintenance expectations.
- Identify recurring deficiencies and operational breakdowns.
- Develop scalable solutions that eliminate repeat failures.
Operational Excellence & Standards
- Create and refine inspection protocols, scorecards, and reporting tools.
- Ensure consistency in execution across all communities.
- Support standardization of best practices in facilities, safety compliance, and resident experience.
Maintenance & Asset Condition Oversight
- Assess preventative maintenance programs and work order trends.
- Review site-level maintenance practices to ensure long-term asset preservation.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain centralized quality assurance documentation and reporting systems.
- Track implementation of corrective actions and verify sustained improvement.
- Produce detailed inspection reports with actionable recommendations.
- Track trends across the portfolio, including recurring deficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Deliver executive-level summaries on asset condition, risks, and quality performance metrics.
- Translate site observations into data-driven insights that inform operational strategy.
Training & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner closely with leaders and business owners to ensure cross-functional efficiency and expectations across the organization.
- Coach teams on improving execution and preventing recurring issues.
- Develop and deliver training programs on quality standards and process adherence.
- Serve as a mentor to help teams build long-term capability rather than dependency.
Process Improvement
- Develop and refine quality assurance programs tailored to multifamily operations.
- Identify opportunities to reduce resident complaints, maintenance backlogs, and operational inefficiencies.
- Partner with leadership to drive repeatable, scalable quality processes across the portfolio.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree in Property Management, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in multifamily property management, construction, quality assurance, warranty services, hospitality, or related operational leadership roles.
- Strong construction background preferred.
- Experience in multifamily required; additional experience in hospitality a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze operational data, including work order trends and performance metrics.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and building documentation strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with property management and project management software.
- Exceptional eye for details and high-quality standards.
- Coach mindset with the ability to influence behavioral change.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable operating across multiple sites.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust across the organization.
