Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Quality Engineer
with 23 years of experience in the
metal products industry
. The role involves ensuring that products meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations by implementing effective inspection, testing, and continuous improvement practices.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-process and final inspections of metal components, assemblies, and finished products .

Develop and maintain quality documentation (Control Plans, Inspection Reports, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, etc.).

Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics , including defect rates, scrap, and rework.

Identify root causes of defects using problem-solving tools (5 Whys, Ishikawa/Fishbone, DMAIC).

Collaborate with production and design teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) .

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / customer-specific requirements .

Support supplier quality assurance by auditing and qualifying vendors.

Train operators and production staff on quality standards and inspection methods .

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives ( Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen ) to enhance product reliability and reduce costs.
Qualifications Skills

Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Metallurgy / Industrial Engineering .

2 -4 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Control in the metal products industry (casting, forging, machining, sheet metal, or fabrication).

Strong knowledge of GDT, Metallurgical Testing, and Manufacturing Processes .

Proficiency in measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, CMM, Hardness Tester, Surface Roughness Tester, etc.).

Hands-on experience with quality tools (SPC, FMEA, MSA, APQP, PPAP).

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt is a plus).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
