Quality Assurance Specialist (Product & Distribution)

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring SureWerx physical products meet internal quality requirements, industry standards, and safety expectations before reaching customers.This role supports quality assurance activities within a product distribution and operational environment, including inspections, audits, documentation and continuous improvement efforts.
This is a 100% onsite role based in our Elgin, Illinois corporate headquarters and focused on product quality, compliance and process adherence –
not software testing or application development.
Core Responsibilities
Product Inspection & Analysis:

Develop, execute and document inspection plans for physical products to identify defects or quality concerns.

Perform inbound, in-process, and outbound product inspections against established specifications and standards.
Quality Systems & Process Improvement

Review, document, and update quality procedures, work instructions and technical documentation.

Support corrective and preventative action activities related to product or process issues.
Compliance & Auditing

Conduct internal inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company standards and applicable industry requirements.
Documentation & Reporting

Accurately document inspection results, non-conformances, and quality metrics

Prepare reports and summaries for internal teams and leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Operations, Product, Supply Chain and other internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues and improve product performance.
Required Skills And Qualifications
-
Experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within a manufacturing, warehouse, distribution or product-based environment

Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle defects or deviations

Ability to interpret product specifications, procedures, and quality standards

Comfort working in hands-on, operational settings

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document findings, explain quality issues, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quality documentation tools

Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance.
