The Role

As a Quality Assurance Specialist at AMS, you're the backbone of our compliance and documentation standards. Out of our beautiful Woodridge, IL facility, reporting to the PMT/AMS Quality Assurance Manager, you'll manage and maintain critical documentation within the PMT/AMS Quality Management System, ensuring Standard Operating Procedures, manuals, and records remain compliant, traceable, and readily available for regulatory audits.

You'll oversee controlled documents from creation through archiving, maintain employee training compliance records, and generate audit schedules and quality performance reports to support continuous improvement initiatives. The role spans procurement documentation review, interface with PMT Project Engineering on purchase orders, fabrication shop document control, and compliance audits of PMT, AMS, and outside vendors' Quality Management Systems, all within the requirements of the PMT 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Quality Assurance Program. What You'll Own

  • Oversee controlled documents from creation, review, and approval to distribution and archiving.
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with industry regulations and company quality standards.
  • Maintain employee training compliance documentation, including continued training and new hire training.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with monitoring quality performance indicators, generating reports on trends, and presenting data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Generate and maintain audit schedules.
  • Manage and preserve the PMT Approved Suppliers List.
  • Review procurement documentation for conformance to quality standards.
  • Interface with PMT Project Engineering to ensure applicable quality requirements are included within PMT purchase orders.
  • Assist in the control and issuance of manufacturing documents to the fabrication shop in support of projects with strict quality requirements.
  • Perform compliance audits of PMT, AMS, and outside vendors' Quality Management Systems.
  • Maintain a highly structured filing system and database of all quality records.
  • Work within the requirements of the PMT 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Quality Assurance Program.

What You Bring

Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance, quality control, compliance, or process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a high degree of precision, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent proofreading skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, work in a team environment, and multitask in an environment where precision matters more than speed.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel out of state, typically less than one week and up to two times per year.
  • Must pass random drug tests and drug tests required to gain access to nuclear power plants; PMT Nuclear is a drug-free workplace.
Preferred
  • Background or experience in administrative assistance, office management, scheduling, or document management.
  • Background or experience in HVAC, contracting, manufacturing, construction, or engineering.
