Summary:
The QA Technician performs on-floor quality assurance audits and inspections
throughout the beverage production and packaging facility to ensure compliance
with company, customer, and regulatory standards. This role monitors key control
points along the production lines—including batching, filling, pasteurization or
preservation, and packaging—to verify adherence to established GMPs and quality
procedures. The QA Technician works closely with production, maintenance, and
sanitation teams to identify and correct quality or efficiency issues in real time.
This position supports continuous improvement by documenting findings,
verifying corrective actions, and serving as a key resource for operators and
supervisors when critical quality concerns arise.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Operate and calibrate on-floor testing equipment such as refractometers, pH meters, densitometers, thermometers, and scales.
- Perform in-process checks and product analyses to verify conformance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct line inspections on batching, filling, and packaging systems to ensure compliance with product and process specifications.
- Segregate and hold non-conforming products; assist in determining disposition.
- Enter analytical and inspection data accurately and promptly into electronic systems; immediately report deviations to supervision.
- Maintain good housekeeping and hygienic practices throughout the work area.
- Manage product hold documentation and support investigations into out-of-spec results.
- Conduct packaging audits and verify fill levels, weights, torque, seams, and closures.
- Perform or verify routine analyses such as Brix, acidity, ascorbic acid, pH, flavor, and color. Coordinate any required third-party testing.
- Support verification of CCPs, sanitation checks, and pre-op inspections as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in a science- related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a beverage or food production environment.
- Experience with HPLC or microbiological testing is a plus but not required.
Physical Demands:
This role requires regular standing and walking on the production floor, and
frequent bending, lifting, and reaching. The employee must occasionally lift and/or
move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral
vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable

Compensation:
- $24.00 - $30.00 per hour; dependent on experience.
Hours:
- Monday through Thursday. 10 hour shifts. Fridays if necessary.
