Quality Chemist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Chemist to join our growing laboratory team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the hemp quality, safety, and compliance of our products through rigorous testing and analysis. Your expertise will support the development, validation, and maintenance of analytical methods, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards such as CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice). Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive chemical analyses using techniques such as spectroscopy, chromatography (gas chromatography, high-performance liquid chromatography), and microscopy to verify product quality.
• Analyze, record, write reports, reviews and summaries on the findings of experiments and trials of products.
• Preparation of samples using standard techniques and conduct analysis/testing.
• Calibrate laboratory instruments such as GCMS, HPLC, viscometer, density meters and pH meter regularly to maintain accuracy and precision.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all testing procedures, results, and deviations within Laboratory Information Management Systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or a related scientific discipline is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in lab work related to organic chemistry, chemistry etc
• Proven laboratory experience with a strong understanding of analytical chemistry techniques including HPLC and GCMS.
• Experience working with hemp and cannabinoids strongly preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
