Quality Control Engineer

Job Summary

Al Saif Graphics (ASG) is seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven Quality Engineer – Production to oversee and ensure quality standards across manufacturing and production activities related to exhibition stands, signages, branding elements, and fit-out components.

The role is responsible for implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with client specifications, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the production facility and site installations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Control & Inspection

• Develop and implement quality control plans for exhibition stands, signage fabrication, and branding projects.
• Conduct inspections at various stages of production including carpentry, metal works, acrylic works, painting, printing, and finishing.
• Verify materials and workmanship comply with approved drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
• Perform final quality checks before dispatch and site installation.

2. Production Quality Monitoring

• Monitor daily production activities to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Identify defects, non-conformities, and deviations from approved designs.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure proper documentation of inspection reports and quality records.

3. Site Quality Supervision

• Conduct site inspections during installation of exhibition stands and signage works.
• Ensure installation aligns with approved drawings and brand guidelines.
• Coordinate with Project and Production teams to rectify site issues promptly.

4. Process Improvement & Standardization

• Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality assurance in production.
• Recommend process improvements to reduce rework and material wastage.
• Support implementation of lean practices and efficiency improvements.
• Conduct internal quality audits periodically.

5. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain quality inspection checklists and compliance documentation.
• Ensure adherence to company quality standards and client requirements.
• Support ISO documentation and internal/external audits (if applicable).
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Design, Production, Procurement, and Project teams.
• Review shop drawings and production files before fabrication.
• Provide feedback to designers and production supervisors on quality improvements.
• Support client inspections and approvals when required.

7. Risk & Defect Management

• Analyze recurring defects and implement preventive solutions.
• Maintain defect logs and track quality performance metrics.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to avoid damage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Civil / Industrial) or related field.
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in Quality Control within Exhibition, Signage, Fit-Out, or Manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes including carpentry, metal works, painting, and large-format printing.
• Experience in quality inspection of exhibition stands and branding installations.
• Good understanding of technical drawings and production files.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in UAE exhibition or signage companies.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
• Certification in Quality Management (Advantage).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Quality Control Engineer: 5 years (Required)
