Position – Testing Engineer QC (Quality Control) Core Technical Competencies & Job Experience Required & Much Essential

• Testing of Industrial Computing Hardware Products & Systems
• Testing of Networking Products & Systems
• Strong in Electronics Fundamentals & having keen interest in testing of electronic components, products & systems, PC based data acquisition systems.
• Some Knowledge on Linux Based Computer Systems
• Having basic knowledge on core QC processes

Junior/Senior Quality Control Engineer Role and Responsibilities

• Mainly Testing & Inspection in all above-mentioned product categories. Rest preferable as mentioned in below points.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Conduct thorough inspections and tests on incoming raw materials and final products to identify any defects or deviations from specifications. Rejecting, returning unacceptable raw materials. Approve or returning final products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
• Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database
• Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements, and calling for repairs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead root cause analysis investigations for quality issues and implement preventive measures to minimize risks of recurrence.
• Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Prepare reports and present findings to management.
• Monitor production process and identify areas of potential improvement.
• Provide technical guidance and support to production teams to ensure adherence to quality control standards and processes.
• Train and mentor junior quality control engineers to develop their skills and knowledge.
• Design and maintain quality documentation, including inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality control plans.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory requirements related to quality control to continuously improve processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure quality requirements are met for outsourced products and services
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.

Required Skills

• Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Electronics and relevant experience OR

Diploma in Electronics with related coursework and skills

• 2-5 Years proven experience as a Quality Control Engineer or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Professional certification in quality control, such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 and other relevant quality management system standards. Knowledge of IPC standards IPC-610, IPC-620 preferable.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to quality control.
• Knowledge of Defense Industry and Standards such as MIL-STD461, MIL-STD810, JSS55555 etc. Knowledge of Industrial Computing and Networking products
• Proficient in using quality control tools and techniques, such as root cause analysis for CAPA, failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), and statistical process control (SPC).
• Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
