A well-established and reputed livestock and meat processing company in Oman is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Executive to ensure food safety, quality compliance, and regulatory adherence across meat processing facilities, warehouses, and retail outlets.
This role is critical in maintaining the company’s strong reputation for delivering safe, hygienic, and high-quality meat products in compliance with local regulations and internationally recognized food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000, and applicable Oman Municipality, MOCI, and Veterinary regulations
- Conduct routine quality and hygiene inspections across processing units, packing areas, cold storage facilities, warehouses, and retail outlets
- Monitor critical control points (CCPs), temperature controls, sanitation processes, hygiene practices, and product specifications
- Inspect incoming raw materials, packaging materials, finished products, labeling, and storage conditions
- Enforce strict adherence to SOPs, personal hygiene standards, and PPE usage
- Maintain accurate quality documentation including temperature logs, inspection reports, sanitation records, and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
- Identify quality deviations and support Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Assist during internal audits, external audits, and government inspections
- Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Retail, and Maintenance teams to resolve quality-related issues
- Support food safety training and awareness programs for operational staff
- Assist in traceability systems and product recall exercises when required
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Veterinary Science, or a related discipline
- 2–4 years of QC/QA experience in the meat, poultry, or food processing industry
- Hands-on knowledge of meat processing operations, cold chain management, and retail food safety practices
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills
- Solid understanding of food safety laws, audits, and regulatory inspections
- Effective communication and cross-functional coordination abilities
- Willingness to work in shifts and travel between multiple locations as required
Working Conditions
- Exposure to factory, slaughterhouse, warehouse, cold storage, and retail environments
- Standing and shop-floor supervision required
- Strict adherence to hygiene, PPE, and food safety protocols
