Quality Control Inspector - Landscape Construction
The role: We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector with strong landscape construction experience to oversee day-to-day site inspections, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards. You will be the on-site guardian of quality, verifying that both hardscape and softscape works meet client and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do
- Carry out daily inspections of landscape works: earthworks, hardscape (pavers, kerbs, stone, concrete), softscape (soil prep, planting, turf), irrigation, and drainage.
- Verify materials delivered to site (plants, soil, aggregates, pipes, valves, fittings) against approved submittals and standards.
- Witness and document testing and inspections as per ITPs and method statements.
- Monitor and record workmanship quality, identifying non-conformances and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
- Assist in maintaining inspection logs, checklists, photographs, and test reports for traceability.
- Support preparation of punch lists, NCRs, and close-out documentation.
- Liaise with site supervisors, subcontractors, and the QA/QC Engineer to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure works comply with project specifications, drawings, and HSE requirements.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Mechanical.
- 3-6 years' experience as a Quality Inspector or similar role in landscape construction/infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of landscape standards for planting, soil preparation, irrigation systems, and hardscape finishes.
- Familiarity with ITPs, method statements, and NCR processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to enforce compliance on-site.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD/inspection apps is an advantage.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with consultants and site teams.
