Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting routine in-process inspections and ensuring compliance with control plans, customer requirements, and internal standards. They play a key role in maintaining product quality, identifying deviations, and coordinating corrective actions to support smooth and compliant production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-process inspections as per control plan using calibrated instruments.
- Review shift handover communication and follow up on unresolved quality issues.
- Conduct line clearance and production start-up checks.
- Verify color matching against approved samples; coordinate for corrections if needed.
- Cross-check operator inspections (Press, Printer, Necking, etc.) and validate with actual samples.
- Communicate quality issues and deviations to the concerned personnel and Shift In-Charge.
- Place suspect materials on hold and tag appropriately.
- Inspect final products before transferring to quarantine.
- Maintain accurate and complete quality documentation.
- Conduct online sorting verification and LSD sample collection.
- Ensure cleanliness and housekeeping in the quality area and shop floor.
- Monitor instrument condition and report issues promptly.
- Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Company policies.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by Quality Systems Head.
Education & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field (preferred)
- Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Familiarity with control plans, inspection standards, and sampling techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and specifications
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, data entry)
- Knowledge of 5S, ISO standards, or other quality systems (a plus)
- Willingness to work in shifts
- 1–3 years of experience in quality control or manufacturing inspection ( Same Industry is a plus)
