Description:
Position Summary
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance through incoming, in-process, and final inspections. This role focuses on verifying PCB assemblies, including component placement, polarity, and solder quality, in accordance with IPC-A-610 standards. The QC Inspector plays a key role in identifying and escalating quality issues while supporting production and quality teams to maintain high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform incoming (receiving), in-process, and final product inspections

Approve first articles to ensure compliance with specifications

Inspect PCB assemblies for proper component placement, polarity, and solder quality (through-hole and SMT)

Verify products meet IPC-A-610 and internal quality standards

Document inspection results accurately in the QC database

Identify and escalate quality issues to management

Provide support in investigating and resolving quality concerns

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Perform other duties as assigned

2+ years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment

Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards (certification preferred)

Experience inspecting PCB assemblies, including SMT and through-hole components

Ability to read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, and specifications

Experience using measuring and inspection tools (e.g., calipers, microscopes, gauges)

Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Understanding of quality control principles and inspection processes

Ability to identify defects and non-conformances

Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

Ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced production environment
