Quality Control Inspector

Position Summary

The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance through incoming, in-process, and final inspections. This role focuses on verifying PCB assemblies, including component placement, polarity, and solder quality, in accordance with IPC-A-610 standards. The QC Inspector plays a key role in identifying and escalating quality issues while supporting production and quality teams to maintain high standards.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming (receiving), in-process, and final product inspections
  • Approve first articles to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Inspect PCB assemblies for proper component placement, polarity, and solder quality (through-hole and SMT)
  • Verify products meet IPC-A-610 and internal quality standards
  • Document inspection results accurately in the QC database
  • Identify and escalate quality issues to management
  • Provide support in investigating and resolving quality concerns
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards (certification preferred)
  • Experience inspecting PCB assemblies, including SMT and through-hole components
  • Ability to read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, and specifications
  • Experience using measuring and inspection tools (e.g., calipers, microscopes, gauges)
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
