Responsibilities:
Brasfield & Gorrie has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Manager to join our team. Responsibilities and general duties include the following:

Assist project team including Superintendent and Project Manager onsite with quality control efforts and help lead the culture of quality on the jobsite
- Maintain physical presence on jobsite during work performed in area of responsibility

Perform and document the three phases of control, final inspections, and closeout

Inspect all materials, construction, plant and equipment for conformance with the technical specifications

Perform all QC tests as required by the technical specifications

Ensure that the completed project meets all quality requirements of the contract

Verify that all provisions have been made to provide required quality control testing

Monitor contactor’s daily work progress

Check dimensional requirements and verify calibration records of IMT Equipment

Visually inspect materials received on site for proper documentation, completeness, and condition

Observe and coordinate all required tests and inspections to verify that they are in compliance with the specifications
- Complete and maintain accurate records of inspections and tests

Ensure the proper documentation and corrective action of all deficiencies in materials and workmanship is done in a timely manner

Conduct routine surveillances and maintain the system for document control on the project and jobsite
- Work closely with all testing agencies to verify that all tests are properly performed

Assist in the development of a Site-Specific Quality Plan which ensures that all contractual requirements are carried out in conformance to Contract Documents and applicable standards

Maintain procedures and carry out field training activities to ensure that quality requirements are communicated to all levels of the field organization, including trade contractors

Communicate the quality control plan to all parties involved in the construction project such as Quality Assurance, Subcontractors, Architect and Engineer
Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management required

Five (5) years of related field experience in heavy industrial, wastewater treatment plant, infrastructure, or power plant construction
- USACE/NAVFAC QCM Certified preferred

Ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings and technical specifications

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

Technical knowledge of quality control processes

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
-
Travel and relocation may be required
