Quality Control Manager

Nu-Tech Machining Inc. is a medium sized, very high end machine shop doing small lot production work to very tight tolerances for high tech and other customers. We are ISO-9001:2015 certified and have a well supplied inspection area, including a Hexagon type S CMM.

The Quality Control Manager (QC) has a key role in achieving product quality control. Each machinist is responsible for programming, setting up and running their jobs. Some jobs require outside processing as well. QC will promptly do first article inspections and provide feedback to the machinist. The QC will do first article and final inspections to customer prints on all jobs going through the shop as they are completed. Most jobs will require 100% inspection. QC will document all inspections on shop paperwork. QC will also periodically check and calibrate the measurement equipment of the machinists in the shop. QC will occasionally be expected to create CAD/CAM drawings of customer parts.

Quality is the most important part of our performance for our customers. Having parts rejected by our customers is simply not acceptable, and it is extremely rare in our over 30 year history with our best customers. Our machinists are only paid when they produce parts that pass quality control. As a result, they are extremely motivated to make good parts, the first time.

Nu-Tech Machining is located in Vancouver WA, in a less than three year old building.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
