The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process and final inspections and recording quality results. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In-depth knowledge of quality standards is essential. Candidate must possess strong leadership skills; management abilities, analytical and problem solving skills.
Duties and Tasks/Essential Functions:
- Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate products
- Ensuring that products adhere to quality standards.
- Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data.
- Training and managing production line staff in quality practices.
- Tracking products through the manufacturing process to guarantee that each part of the process is correct.
- Performing detailed and recorded inspections of final products so the products are up to customer and company standards
- Approves incoming materials to confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
- Monitor quality at various stages of the production process to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Records and tracks all Non-Conformances throughout the NCR Process.
- Monitors & controls Quarantine Area for all non-conformances
Skill and Knowledge Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in a related field preferred.
- THREE years of QC Managerial experience required.
- Mechanical and electro-mech inspection experience required.
- Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
- Must be computer literate.
- Ability to speak and write clearly and accurately.
- Effective listening & communication skills.
- Multi-tasking capabilities.
- Knowledge of Lean Mfg. methodologies.
