Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager

SHAASTEC International is looking for a QA/QC Manager to develop, implement, and oversee the company's Quality Management System for all engineering and construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring all work complies with project specifications, contractual requirements, and international quality standards. The position reports to the Operations Director or Projects Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
• Establish and enforce QA/QC procedures, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality control checklists for all project phases.
• Lead and manage a team of QA/QC engineers and inspectors across multiple project sites.
• Conduct internal audits and manage external certification audits.
• Review and approve quality control documentation, including method statements, material submittals, and inspection reports.
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to resolve non-conformities and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Analyze quality performance data and report on quality metrics and trends to senior management.
• Ensure all materials and workmanship meet project specifications and approved standards.
• Interface with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors on all quality-related matters.
• Provide quality training and promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certification in Quality Management (e.g., CQM, Lead Auditor ISO 9001) is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a QA/QC role within the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
• Comprehensive knowledge of international construction standards, ISO 9001, and quality assurance methodologies.
• Proven experience in developing and auditing Quality Management Systems for large-scale projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
• Ability to travel to various project sites as required.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.
