Quality Control Technician

Summary

Perform all tasks according to ACI, ASTM, and PCI policies and procedures. Quality Control for Precast Concrete

Primary responsibilities

• Perform assigned tasks given by the Crew Leader and QC Manager.
• Read and Interpret product type and dimensions, from blueprints.
• Calculate and prepare stressing reports and safely conduct stressing operations.
• Perform Prepour and Post Pour Inspections using approved drawings of the product being inspected.
• Identify noncompliance’s, report them and ensure they are corrected.
• Label product for later identification and shipping.
• Perform wet concrete testing.
• Perform hardened concrete testing.
• Perform aggregate acceptability testing and moisture testing.
• Perform in-house welding inspections.
• Perform outsourced embed acceptability testing.
• Visually inspect and verify shipping product.

Physical Requirements

• The ability to squat, bend, stretch, twist, and lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
• The ability to climb at varying heights and perform needed tasks.
• Be on their feet 8 to 12 hours shifts
• The ability to work in all weather and temperatures throughout the year.
• The ability to keep or regain your body balance or stay upright when in an unstable position.
• Work overtime and work mandatory Saturdays when scheduled

Skill Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to perform basic math. Math test given.
• Prefer ACI & PCI certified candidates
