Job Title: Quality Controller (Academics)Department:

Job Purpose:

The Quality Controller (Academics) is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and improving academic standards across the school by ensuring curriculum implementation, teaching quality, assessment practices, and compliance with academic policies.

Key Responsibilities:1. Academic Quality Monitoring

  • Monitor implementation of curriculum, lesson plans, and schemes of work.
  • Ensure syllabus coverage as per academic calendar.
  • Review teaching methodologies and classroom practices.
  • Identify gaps in academic delivery and recommend improvements.

2. Classroom Observation & Evaluation

  • Conduct regular and surprise classroom observations.
  • Evaluate teacher performance against defined academic standards.
  • Provide constructive feedback and improvement plans.
  • Maintain observation records and performance reports.

3. Assessment & Examination Quality

  • Review test papers, exam papers, and marking schemes.
  • Ensure assessments align with curriculum objectives and learning outcomes.
  • Monitor marking quality, result accuracy, and moderation processes.
  • Analyze academic results and trends.

4. Teacher Support & Development

  • Identify training needs based on performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate with management for teacher training and workshops.
  • Support teachers in improving lesson delivery and assessment methods.

5. Policy Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with academic policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review academic documentation (lesson plans, registers, result files).
  • Support internal audits, inspections, and accreditation visits.

6. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare academic quality reports for management.
  • Track KPIs related to teaching quality, results, and student progress.
  • Recommend corrective and preventive actions.

7. Continuous Improvement

  • Introduce best practices in teaching, assessment, and evaluation.
  • Benchmark academic standards against reputable schools or boards.
  • Support innovation in teaching and learning.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of curriculum standards (Matric / O Level / Cambridge)
  • Excellent analytical and evaluation skills
  • Strong observation, feedback, and mentoring abilities
  • Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Effective communication and report-writing skills
  • Fair, objective, and professional judgment

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Education or relevant subject (preferred)
  • B.Ed / M.Ed is an advantage
  • 7–10 years of teaching or academic leadership experience
  • Prior experience as coordinator, head of department, or academic auditor preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs90,000.00 per month
