Quality Controller ( General contracting )

Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control
Location: Abu Dhabi

Job Purpose:

To ensure that all construction activities, materials, and workmanship comply with approved specifications, standards, and regulations, maintaining the highest quality standards for all projects undertaken by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and verify all incoming materials, workmanship, and construction processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Monitor and document the implementation of quality control procedures throughout all project phases.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, prepare inspection reports, and issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) when needed.
  • Assist in developing and updating the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure its implementation.
  • Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance of testing equipment used for quality inspections.
  • Prepare and maintain quality records, test results, and compliance certificates.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide quality-related training and guidance to site staff and subcontractors.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • years experience as a Quality Controller/Inspector in a general contracting or construction company.
  • Strong knowledge of construction standards, codes, and practices (local and international).
  • Proficient in reading drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Excellent reporting and documentation skills.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.
