Quality Director

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Director to lead and strengthen our Quality Management System (QMS) at our Hebron, Ohio facility. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust quality framework that meets ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards while driving operational excellence across the organization.

The ideal candidate will lead initiatives that ensure product and process quality, champion continuous improvement, and align quality strategies with broader business objectives in the aerospace and defense sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements.

• Develop and execute a Quality Improvement Plan that drives measurable improvements in product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

• Ensure the organization’s quality strategy aligns with company goals and aerospace industry standards.

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement

• Manage internal and external audits, including certification and customer audits.

• Establish and track key quality performance metrics (KPIs) and report progress to leadership.

• Lead and manage Corrective Action System (CAS) and processes and ensure effective resolution of quality issues.

• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and leadership teams to ensure quality is integrated into all processes.

• Oversee supplier quality management and ensure compliance with aerospace quality requirements.

• Mentor and lead the quality team while fostering cross-functional quality ownership throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).

• 8-15 years of experience in quality leadership within aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing.

• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management standards.

• Proven experience implementing or managing Quality Management Systems (QMS).

• Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement initiatives and building quality-driven cultures.

• Experience leading internal/external audits, regulatory compliance, and certification processes.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ certifications such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).

• Familiarity with Government, defense, and aerospace customer quality requirements and supplier quality management.
