What You Will Do

Primary Job Responsibilities
Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
-
Confirming the Plant processes and procedures are effective in meeting product requirements, where specified.
-
Close participation is Raw Material Reception, validating the quality standards, review and endorsing material test certificates.
-
Perform ET, PT, UT, VT, and other NDT methods required by plant operations on raw material, equipment, and finished product. Be thoroughly familiar with the scope, capabilities, and limitations of the techniques and methods in which certified, perform additional required tests like Hardness test, TIR, Etc.

Implement QA/QC activities, including those of sub-contractors' works in accordance with approved QCP /ITPs and Procedures, method statements, and other documents.

Prepares and sign off applicable records for quality surveillance/inspections/tests.

Ensure proper test & inspection equipment is used, calibrated, and certified.

Supporting the maintenance of Quality records and test sample logs.

Ensure availability of appropriate version of applicable work documents such as Drawings, Specifications, policies, procedures, work instructions, and Standards.

Carry out surveillance, inspection, and witnessing sufficient to ensure specified requirements are met and to enable Certification to be issued, where specified.

Witness Packing and/or Shipping preparation, based on Shipping Release Note from the Purchaser or the Customer.

Provide sufficient and continuous feedback to the Quality Manager on the day-to-day quality issues.

Perform training for all levels of technicians, which includes in-house and field training.

Work with the Quality Management team in maintaining procedures relating to the relevant discipline, generating techniques, and managing quality control of the method.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Metallurgy Lab Activities
-
Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
-
Collect and prepare samples for analysis using established tests and techniques.
-
Perform microstructure analysis as per the QCP.
-
Perform Failure analysis as per the procedures and maintain the records.
-
Assist with/perform routine chemical and/or metallurgical analysis and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Graduate Engineer (B.Sc.Eng. / BE / B.Tech.) in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Welding.
-
3+ years of experience in Failure analysis of steel material.
-
As a minimum, shall be NDT Level-II with clear knowledge, but not limited to VT, PT, ET, and UT.

Familiar with quality system requirements (ISO 9001-2015, API Q1/Q2)
-
5+ Years minimum relevant experience in onshore oil and gas facility projects.

Good knowledge in Microsoft Office (at least, but not limited to Excel, Word, Power Point).

Registered as ISO Lead Auditor with IRCA, RABQSA or equivalent
