Job Summary

Quality Engineer located near Elk Grove Village, IL for a leading manufacturing company. This role is responsible to resolve daily in-process quality issues for assigned value streams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field
• Must have five (5+) years of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in utilizing the AIAG core requirements (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC)
• Lean manufacturing experience
• Excel and Minitab experience

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage effective process and product controls to ensure first time product quality
• Lead investigation and resolution for internal nonconformances, customer product quality complaints, and supplier quality concerns
• Assist in the development and implementation of systems and processes that promote the prevention of internal and external failures
• Assure compliance to internal, customer, and third-party regulatory standards and requirements
• Resolve daily in-process quality issues for assigned value streams
• Facilitate and manage continuous improvement teams to improve safety and drive down cost of quality metrics
• Utilize statistical data to identify and resolve safety and quality problems
