Quality Engineer

Required Qualifications & Competencies:

• BSc – Civil / Architecture Engineering


• 8+ years of Experience


• Building Construction Industry Experience


• Computer Skills shall include competency in MS word and Excel

Responsibilities:

1. Planning & Documentation

• Review Contract Specifications and drawings and prepare a list of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)


• Prepare relevant work activity ITPs and associated checklists


• Prepare a list of materials and testing plan covering the following:




• Type of Material


• Type of Test


• Frequency


• Acceptance criteria


• Records

1. Site Monitoring & Inspection

• Follow up and monitor sequence of construction works according to relevant Method statement and/or a mock-up sample


• Administration of daily Site Inspection / walk through to monitor work in progress for compliance with Specification and design / shop drawings


• Receive and log Request for Inspection and process through during the same day. Coordinate and perform Inspection and test activities in accordance with relevant Inspection Test Plan


• Perform materials receiving inspection / test to verify compliance with the requirements of Specification and/or approved submittal. Report non-compliance via the use of receiving inspection report


• Monitor and check revision status of drawings used on site by construction teams including subcontractors, to ensure that no superseded drawings are at point of use


• Monitor storage area and take necessary action to prevent damage

1. Quality Control & Non-Conformance

• Control of non-conforming products and follow-up on actions for closure of NCRs


• Monitor status of Inspection and follow-up on actions for re-submission, ensuring all required actions completed prior to re-submission

1. Records Management & Reporting

• Maintain quality records specified by relevant Inspection test plans and contract documents. Ensure all original copies of records are handed over to Document & Data Controller

1. Auditing & Data Analysis

• Perform audits on site Subcontractors


• Conduct statistical analysis on test results, mainly Concrete cube results
