Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the APQP process for all new parts/models.
  • Provide Reports for Continuous improvement opportunities (Scrap, PRR’s, PPM, Capability, etc.).
  • Support the Supplier Quality Engineer in performing supplier quality audits.
  • Lead, Support resolution to quality problems both internal & external using problem solving methods.
  • Report the status of internal & external PPAP submissions.
  • Track the resolution of non-conforming material & disposition of same.
  • Supervise quality inspectors, as required
  • Assist Mfg. Engineering with gaging methods for manufactured/purchased materials, write capital appropriations, purchase equipment.
  • Develop audit plans.
  • Help to lead IATF 16949 compliance.
  • Perform gage R&R’s and train others to do the same.
  • Conduct and analyze capability studies.
  • Participate in change management for the plant
  • Develop & conduct training programs for shop floor operators on quality duties.
  • Represent the Muncie Plant in meetings with customer SQE’s, etc.
  • Assist in training Operators on Blue books; safety and quality.
  • Tracks quality training for the matrix.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
