Job Description: Quality Engineer

Role Summary
Responsible for ensuring product quality in VMC machining and fabrication processes through inspection, process control, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure quality of machined and fabricated parts as per drawings and specifications
• Perform first article inspection (FAI), in-process, and final inspections
• Use measuring instruments: Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, CMM
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications
• Implement and maintain QMS (ISO 9001) requirements
• Analyze defects and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) using 5 Why, Fishbone
• Support PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, PFMEA (if automotive-related)
• Coordinate with production, CNC/VMC operators, and fabrication teams
• Handle customer complaints, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce rejection and rework

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of VMC machining & fabrication processes
• Good understanding of tolerances, surface finish, and material properties
• Experience with inspection reports and quality documentation
• Familiarity with SPC, MSA (preferred)
• Problem-solving and communication skills

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering
• 2–5 years experience in VMC production or fabrication quality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
