We are seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join our team at our facility in Chandler, AZ. In this role you will be supporting our Quality Manage, determining acceptance and rejection criteria via our Quality Management System. You will be responsible for all Quality aspects (internal/external audits) and compliance to all customer requirements and maintaining positive relationships with our customers. We are an Aerospace and Recuperator manufacturing plant that specializes in Welding, Forming, CNC, Laser Cutting, and Processing that requires understanding of inspection techniques of CMM, FPI, and various other dimensional inspections. Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the training and effective implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) per AS9100.

Responsible for "hands on" product quality and Quality Metrics Database.

Writes procedures and makes recommendations regarding the Material Review Board (MRB) disposition of Incoming and Work in Process (WIP) materials.

Maintains process approvals for NADCAP certifications.

Coordinates implementation of customer quality requirements for new product launch. Interfaces with suppliers/customers as required.

Coordinates all customer audit findings, and internal Root Cause and Corrective action (RCCA) and improvement plans.

Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.

Participates actively in the MRB team disposition of incoming, WIP and customer returns rejection tags as required.

Participates in the Internal Auditing Team.

Must be able to review and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).

Read and interpret customer material, drawings and process specifications.

Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures.

Other various duties as needed or as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or engineering discipline and a minimum of 2 years’ related work experience, or the overall equivalent experience.

Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and AS9102.

Experience with NADCAP.

Must have experience with primary Aerospace OEMs such as but not limited to Rolls-Royce, GE Aerospace, Lockheed Martin and Honeywell.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook & Power Point.

Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
