Quality Engineer / Auditor - Chemical Manufacturer (35699)

A Chemical manufacturer near the Elizabethtown, KY area is searching for a motivated Quality Engineer / Auditor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a background in quality engineering or quality management, be familiar with relevant quality standards within the automotive/manufacturing industries.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct internal audits and inspections inhouse to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
• Perform thorough research and preparations prior to each audit, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of relevant processes and procedures
• Identify and investigate any deviations or non-conformities, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective measures and prevent recurrence of issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of audit findings, actions taken, and follow-up activities
• Continuously assess and improve quality assurance processes and procedures
• Additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a similar technical field is preferred, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in quality assurance, auditing, or a similar role within the manufacturing, or automotive industry
• Certification in internal auditing will be huge plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
• Willing to travel approximately 25%
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Knowledge of relevant quality standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001)
