Quality Engineering Lead

At Takamol, we are looking for a Quality Engineering Lead who is passionate about building quality from the early stages of development and driving automation-first testing strategies using modern technologies.

This role will play a key part in embedding quality practices across the software development lifecycle, ensuring stable, scalable, and high-quality releases through test automation, CI/CD integration, and continuous testing practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement Shift-Left testing practices across all development phases
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks
  • Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and rapid delivery
  • Perform API, UI, integration, and regression testing using modern testing tools
  • Analyze test results, identify defects early, and drive fast feedback loops
  • Manage test data and ensure environment readiness for testing activities
  • Contribute to quality metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support security and penetration testing activities using tools such as Burp Suite
  • Promote quality engineering best practices across Agile/Scrum teams


Requirements:

  • 4 - 6 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
  • Solid understanding of Shift-Left testing principles and automation-first approaches
  • Experience integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Experience in API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools
  • Good programming/scripting knowledge in Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages
  • Strong SQL knowledge and understanding of APIs
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery environments
  • Knowledge of OWASP standards and security testing best practices
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud or Azure
  • Exposure to containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of security testing and penetration testing techniques
