Today, we are recruiting for a Quality, Environment, Health & Safety Officer to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What are my responsibilities?

EHS Responsibilities

  • Monitor and supervise daily site EHS activities in alignment with the Consortium Project EHS Plan.
  • Coordinate with consortium EHS/PTW teams to ensure permits-to-work are issued and followed.
  • Conduct EHS inductions, toolbox talks, and other required training sessions for employees and subcontractors.
  • Inspect and approve scaffolding, lifting equipment, and work platforms prior to use.
  • Ensure safe practices during TPS & OCS testing, commissioning, and energization activities.
  • Monitor subcontractor and supplier activities to ensure compliance with Siemens’ EHS requirements.
  • Ensure the site is equipped with necessary PPE, emergency equipment, and environmental controls.
  • Track Siemens-owned tools and equipment inspections, certifications, and calibrations.
  • Review EHS procedures and recommend updates where required.

Quality Responsibilities

  • Support MIR (Material Inspection Requests) execution on site.
  • Follow up on quality deviations, coordinate with siemens and Siemens partners teams on the project to resolve issues.
  • Review quality procedures and documentation as required.
  • Support Local FAT execution and supplier follow-up inspections.
  • Assist in ensuring supplier and subcontractor compliance with Siemens quality requirements.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Degree/Bachelor of Engineering, Quality, Safety, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in EHS and Quality roles (preferably in rail, energy, or heavy infrastructure projects).
  • Certification in safety/quality (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO Internal Auditor) is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with PTW systems, supplier/subcontractor management, and site inspections.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, consortium EHS requirements, and international standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Familiarity with railway electrification projects (TPS, OCS).
  • Competence in scaffolding inspections, lifting activities, HV testing & commissioning EHS protocols.
  • Ability to deliver training and conduct toolbox talks effectively.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with multinational partners and subcontractors.
  • Strong reporting, documentation, and follow-up skills.
