Quality Inspector

We are looking to hire a Quality Inspector to join our team to perform quality inspections on company products. NAECO, LLC is a manufacturing company located in Peachtree City that makes precision parts for industries including aerospace, medical, railway, power grids, industrial controls, etc.

The work schedule is Monday – Thursday (Four 10-hour days), from 7:00am - 5:30pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break and two 15 minute breaks. Pay is commensurate with experience and health benefits begin on the first day of the month after start date. We offer 6 health plans through Aetna, of which, 3 have a $0 premium cost to the employee for employee only medical coverage. Dependents can be added for a cost. In addition to medical, we also offer dental, vision, short and long term disability, life insurance, and a 401k plan.

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect basic dimensions of key product characteristics and follow established procedures and guidelines to check, test, and inspect raw materials, subassemblies and finished goods for functionality, damages and/or missing parts.
• Ensure manufactured parts meet specifications using precision inspection tools such as Calipers, Optical Comparators, Micrometers, thread and pin gages, and Visual Inspection Machines to measure components and ensure they meet design specs and tolerances
• Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to determine inspection criteria
• Scan and index supplier's documentation
• Report Quality Deficiencies in the Notification process
• Assists with vendor and customer return process.
• Use Excel for data recording and analysis
• Lift and moving boxes into stock
• Other duties as business dictates

Qualifications:

• 2 + years manufacturing quality inspection experience
• Strong ability to read blueprints and accurately document inspection results
• Strong experience measuring parts
• Working knowledge of the above listed inspection equipment
• Proficient in Excel

Education:

• High School diploma
• Technical school or higher-level schooling a plus

Additional Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The work environment characteristics are primarily an office environment with interaction with employees in light manufacturing. The physical work environment consists of sitting, standing, lifting up to a maximum of 10 pounds, and working on desktop programs and files.
