General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

Review approved architectural drawings, specifications, material submittals, and method statements prior to execution on site.

Conduct daily inspections of architectural and finishing works for villa construction projects
-
Monitor construction activities including blockwork, plastering, screeding, waterproofing, tiling, marble works, ceilings, painting, façade finishes, joinery, aluminum works, and landscaping interfaces.

Ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and local authority regulations.

Review and approve Inspection Requests (IRs) related to architectural and finishing works.
-
Conduct Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) to verify delivered materials match approved samples and specifications.

Identify non-conforming works and issue Site Observation Reports (SORs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs); monitor corrective and preventive actions.

Participate in mock-up inspections and ensure approvals prior to proceeding with bulk finishing works.

Coordinate with Structural and MEP Inspectors to ensure proper sequencing and integration of architectural finishes.

Monitor contractor performance with respect to approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and QA/QC procedures.

Assist in preparing snag lists, conduct pre-handover inspections, and ensure timely rectification of defects.

Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare periodic quality reports for submission to the Senior Resident Engineer.

Attend progress and technical meetings with Contractors and Client representatives as required.

Ensure compliance with Company Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skill

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering

Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural/finishing inspection and site supervision.

Previous experience in villa or residential construction projects is highly preferred.
-
Strong knowledge of finishing materials, installation methods, and quality standards for high-end residential works.
-
Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, inspection processes, and documentation control.
-
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
-
Ability to read and interpret detailed architectural drawings and specifications.
-
Strong coordination and communication skills.
-
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality deviations.
-
Good command of written and spoken English.
