Quality Inspector, Product QC

Overview

Quality Inspector, Product QC at Baker Hughes. The role supports quality inspection on Wellhead and Xmas tree parts, ensuring all parts and tools are inspected thoroughly to meet company expectations. Our team aims to achieve high quality, consistency and reliability for all products throughout the complete life cycle of our manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Comply with HSE & Quality policy. Actively participate in HSE and Quality programs and training as assigned.
• Understand and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• Identify and use measuring equipment needed to verify requirements.
• Perform visual, dimensional inspections and inspection of parts in the Assembly and Test areas.
• Verify completeness of all operations and records.
• Complete and maintain inspection records, inspection logs, and calibration documentation.
• Initiate non-conformance reports for products, parts, assemblies and subassemblies not meeting requirements.
• Drive quality culture within the site and project execution teams.
• Collaborate with site quality and repair teams on root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with Baker Hughes management system databases and systems (VDL, Alfresco, Agility, etc.).
• Participate in quality audits, close quality concern reports, Kaizens or root cause analysis, and GB LSS projects.
• May program or calibrate inspection equipment.
• Identify cost-out opportunities and elevate to lead for review/implementation.
• Liaise with Baker Hughes vendors and in-house QC to achieve project goals and meet customer KPIs.
• Demonstrate flexibility in working at vendor locations on behalf of Baker Hughes to witness critical activities.
• Understand project quality and inspection requirements for special customer projects and support SPC Saudi QC operational demand.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or relevant technical education.
• 1-2 years of experience in quality inspection of wellhead and Xmas tree equipment.
• Detail-oriented with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough and logical approach to proactively solving complex problems.
• Ability to use inspection tools to perform 100% dimensional checks on Wellhead and Xmas Tree equipment.
• Knowledge of API 6A standard is a plus.
