Quality Inspector – Projects (MEP & Civil)

Organization: The Organisation Harley’s Fine Baking (https://www.harleys.com/), is a European style patisserie (premium cake selling company) created by an IIM professor to disrupt the cake and coffee market, established to spread bonafide taste of the streets of Manhattan across the world. Brought into the world from a love for baking, the desire to create a meeting place that serves delicious food with a warm rustic environment. The Organization offers a full scope of Breads, morning merchandise, cakes, baked and savoury goods. Currently the team size is of about 200 people with more than 15 outlets across Hyderabad, along with a plan of opening 100 new outlets across Mumbai, Goa, Vijayawada, Bangalore, Chennai scaling up to 1000 people over the next year.

Designation: Quality Inspector – Projects (MEP & Civil)

Work Location: Nanakramguda, Hyderabad (Head Office) – candidate would need to travel Pan-India (As per project requirements)

Qualification: B. Tech / Diploma in Engineering (Any Discipline) - Certifications in Quality Management, Construction Quality, MEP Systems or Safety (preferred - not mandatory)

Experience: Minimum 2+ years in MEP & Civil construction execution and quality inspection.

Job Brief: The Quality Inspector – Projects will be responsible for ensuring that all civil and MEP works across Harley’s Fine Baking project sites are executed as per approved drawings, specifications and quality checklists. The role involves regular site audits, identifying non-conformities, performing root cause analysis, coordinating with vendors and construction teams and driving continuous improvement in construction quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular site visits during construction phases to audit compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure all civil and MEP works are executed as per design drawings, standards and defined quality checklists.
• Identify deviations, defects and non-conformities at site and document findings clearly.
• Perform root cause analysis for quality issues and guide construction teams on corrective and preventive actions.
• Follow up with vendors, contractors and site teams to ensure timely rectification of identified issues.
• Prepare and submit detailed weekly quality inspection reports highlighting errors identified, corrections made and pending actions.
• Discuss quality findings with internal stakeholders and project teams to ensure closure of issues.
• Support standardization of quality practices across multiple project sites.
• Train and guide construction teams on quality standards, drawing interpretation and best practices as required.
• Ensure adherence to safety, hygiene and compliance standards relevant to F&B project environments.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of civil construction and MEP works (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Fighting, etc.)
• Ability to read, interpret and audit construction drawings and BOQs
• Experience in site quality inspections and compliance audits
• Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
• Report writing and documentation skills
• Vendor and contractor coordination
• Willingness to travel to project sites frequently

Desired Skills:

• Experience in QSR, bakery, café, or retail fit-out projects
• Familiarity with F&B hygiene, safety and statutory compliance norms
• Basic understanding of project timelines and cost impact due to rework
• Exposure to quality systems or SOP-based project execution

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
