Quality Intern - Summer 2026

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4:30PM (Summer 2026)

Position Summary:
The Quality Engineering Intern will provide technical support focusing on New Product Introduction (NPI) and new software implementation projects. This position will assist the Quality Engineering department through project definition and implementation, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and medical device requirements. The scope of projects will range from continuous quality improvements to researching and implementing new technology.

Key Responsibilities:1. Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support to the Quality Engineering department.
  • Assist with the implementation of new software and technology related to quality processes.
2. NPI Assistance:
  • Support NPI projects by creating detailed test methods, reports, and project plans.
  • Assist in the development and validation of new products and processes.
3. Process and Design Improvements:
  • Assist with the implementation of process and design improvements.
  • Coordinate and complete tasks as assigned by other departments.
4. Quality System Compliance:
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 13485, and medical device requirements.
5. Data Analysis:
  • Analyze data and provide feedback during the qualification process.
  • Assist in statistical analysis and interpretation of SPC results.
6. Documentation:
  • Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining all related processes and tasks.
  • Create detailed reports and documentation for assigned responsibilities.
7. Training and Support:
  • Train employees in the proper use of new software and technology.
  • Support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts in production.
8. Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in required company and department meetings.
Required Qualifications:
  • Motivated to impact a growing company and changing culture
  • Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Quality, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent degree
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks when assigned
  • Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment
  • Ability to travel between our two MN locations (Big Lake and Coon Rapids)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on machining or mechanical knowledge
  • Medical device experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and methods
