Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality control.
Responsibilities
- Authority to determine when a production line should be shut down due to the production of non-conforming materials.
- Responsible to notify the appropriate technical associate when finish good properties are out of spec.
- Responsible to ensure all material deemed non-conforming is properly labeled, placed on hold and quarantined for further investigation.
- Responsible to make proper disposition of non-conforming materials in conjunction with the appropriate technical associate.
- Responsible for appropriate documentation of quality and non-conforming product and disposition thereafter.
- Responsible to approve color from intermediate pigment master batches / finished goods.
- Responsible to correct and formulate color with the appropriate pigment adds during the production of intermediate master batch blends and during finished goods production.
- Responsible to perform physical property testing as required on finished products (includes tape extrusions), raw materials and intermediates where applicable.
- Responsible to ensure the pre-shipment of color plaques where applicable.
- Responsible to ensure that all test data is entered accurately into the quality database.
- Responsible for verification of lab equipment / color equipment where applicable.
- Responsible to update color formulations database and file MB sheets in a timely fashion.
- Responsible to ensure accurate data entry for all products and completion of full testing requirements.
- Responsible to maintain the cleanliness of all laboratory areas.
- Responsible to maintain the cleanliness of all laboratory equipment.
- Active participation in MCA Bellevue continues improvement projects.
- Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager.
Requirements
- Excellent analytical / problem solving, communication, computer, and mathematical skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be self motivated and able to work under little or no supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively.
- Demonstrated dependability.
- Must possess working knowledge of color formulations and standards.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel).
- Must be flexible to work different hours and overtime if needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $59,322.00 - $74,152.00 per year
