The Quality Manager oversees and implements the quality systems that focus on confidence in standards. This individual will serve as a key internal contact with both internal and external customers, and will play a critical role in achieving new product launches, maintaining controls in existing product, manage and maintain ISO certifications and others necessary to satisfy customer requirements.

This position reports to the Technical Director and is in frequent contact with Purchasing, Engineering, Operations, and Supplier Quality Engineers from our customer base. This position plays a critical role in the team approach for achieving successful new product launches as well as maintaining controls in existing product.

Must have the ability to be a proactive, detail oriented, cross functional team player that manages multiple priorities. This person will demonstrate the ability to be a continuous improvement agent and must be able to utilize quality tools to drive implementations and develop quality acceptance criteria. Strong human relations skills and written oral communications skills are a must.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Ensure safety protocols are in place and followed. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following safety and environmental regulations
  • Understanding customer expectations of and needs from a product.
  • Developing quality control processes.
  • Designing product specifications.
  • Ensuring products are designed with adherence to legal and safety standards.
  • Supervising staff and monitoring production standards.
  • Monitoring and evaluating internal production processes.
  • Evaluating final output of products to determine their quality.
  • Engaging with customers and gathering product feedback.
  • Producing statistical reports on quality standards.
  • Reporting to upper management on quality standard issues.
  • Evaluating product recalls.
  • Improving production efficiency and managing waste.
  • Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment
  • Working according to deadlines for the delivery of products
  • Training staff in production practices and quality assessment of goods
  • Tracking products through the manufacturing process to guarantee that each part of the process is correct
  • Eliminating products that are not up to standards and finding the reasons for product problems
  • And any/all reasonable assignments given by your supervisor

KEY SKILLSET REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferrered Individual will be an experienced, degreed Quality Engineer. B.A. or B.S. in a Technical discipline
  • 3+ Years Experience as Quality Engineer in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Experience with PPAP, Flow Charts, FMEA's, and Capability Studies
  • Maintain current ISO 901:2015 certification
  • Root Cause Analysis, SPC, CMM, Gage R&R experience preferred
  • Experience in Automotive, paint, composites, or plastics preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Quality control certification advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication. Technical Writing experience preferred.
  • Data analysis and statistical aptitude.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Highly conscientious and diligent.
  • Ability to read prints, proficient with math, ability to use measuring devices, operate a computer, and understand basic problem-solving tools.
  • Experience in an inspection or auditing role (preferably in manufacturing).
  • Exhibits positive leadership qualities.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
