We are a privately owned manufacturing group with eight production facilities across the Midwest, specializing in metal fabrication and composite manufacturing. Our operations support specialty projects and engineered components for industrial and off-highway customers, including companies such as John Deere.

Our Holt, Michigan facility, a 35-employee composite manufacturing operation, produces complex components where material integrity, process discipline, and consistent quality standards are essential. This plant plays an important role within our broader manufacturing platform and offers the opportunity to make a visible impact in a focused, team-oriented environment.

Over the past five years, our organization has grown through strategic acquisitions and operational investment, building a diversified manufacturing platform while maintaining the flexibility of a privately owned company. Leadership is centralized at our Troy, Michigan headquarters, allowing for close collaboration between plant operations and company leadership.

The Role

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead and strengthen the Quality Management System (QMS) at our Holt facility. This role is responsible for ISO compliance, audit leadership, defect reduction initiatives, customer quality performance, and continuous improvement across plant operations.

This position requires strong floor presence. The Quality Manager will work directly with production, operations, and leadership to ensure manufacturing processes consistently meet internal standards and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Systems & ISO Compliance

  • Maintain and continuously improve the ISO-based Quality Management System.
  • Lead internal and external audits to ensure certification and ongoing compliance.
  • Develop, update, and enforce quality procedures and documentation.
  • Identify and maintain QMS requirements across customers and product types.

Inspection & Process Control

  • Develop and manage inspection processes prior to shipment.
  • Direct inspection and testing activities to maintain control of materials, facilities, and finished goods.
  • Track product quality throughout the manufacturing process to ensure conformance at each stage.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with company standards and customer specifications.

Continuous Improvement & Data Analysis

  • Apply Total Quality Management (TQM) tools and analytical methods to drive improvement.
  • Monitor scrap rates, defect trends, and non-conformance data.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain logs of quality issues and evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Design and implement quality training programs in partnership with plant leadership.

Customer Quality & RMA Management

  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding quality.
  • Manage the RMA process between customers and internal operations.
  • Support customer audits and quality reviews as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of Quality Management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO standards and audit processes
  • Experience leading and improving a Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Demonstrated success driving defect reduction and continuous improvement
  • Experience managing customer complaints and RMAs
  • Strong analytical and root cause problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and leadership
  • Experience in composite manufacturing or industrial manufacturing preferred

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Fully onsite role at our Holt, Michigan facility
  • Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment
  • Prolonged standing and walking in a production setting
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in hot, dusty environments and around manufacturing equipment
  • Must wear required PPE (respirator, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective coveralls)
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, organized work environment

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $75,000 – $90,000, commensurate with experience. Exceptional candidates may be considered up to $95,000.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
