Responsibilities:
  • Develop departmental objectives and activity plans in line with Company and Quality Control Directorate goals and policies; submit for approval, implement approved plans, and ensure effective execution.

  • Actively contribute to the establishment, improvement, and development of the Quality Control System in line with quality policies and objectives; support the integration of local and international quality standards across the Company.

  • Ensure that incoming materials, raw materials, and finished products comply with Turkish Food Codex requirements and Company quality standards; initiate and follow up corrective actions to eliminate factors negatively affecting product quality.

  • Ensure the laboratory operates fully, efficiently, and in compliance with required standards.

  • Collaborate with the Planning Department in the preparation and execution of production schedules.

  • Ensure sampling from production lines, warehouses, market returns, problematic regions, and when necessary, other factories; oversee testing, reporting, and record keeping; report results to the Plant Manager and Head Office.

  • Review quality records related to responsible departments and ensure corrective actions are taken when required.

  • Organize and accompany audits conducted by official authorities and private institutions within the scope of responsibility.

  • Maintain full control of all production process stages to ensure compliance with Company standards and legal regulations; ensure periodic execution of tests, analyses, and controls defined in quality plans.

  • Participate in supplier evaluation processes; share supplier-related issues with suppliers, the Quality Manager, and relevant departments.

  • Ensure availability of required equipment and chemicals for Quality Control activities and oversee maintenance of equipment.

  • Make decisions and obtain approvals regarding blocked inputs, materials, and products identified during incoming, in-process, and final inspections.

  • Identify inspection, measurement, and test equipment requiring calibration; prepare calibration/verification plans and ensure execution in line with these plans.

  • Take an active role in start-up productions; coordinate sample submissions for new products and packaging to R&D, Central Laboratory, and other laboratories designated by PepsiCo.

  • Ensure verification analyses are conducted for cleaning and sanitation of production lines and equipment in line with Cleaning and Sanitation Plans; ensure GMP requirements are implemented.

  • Ensure materials and products are controlled in accordance with Company and legal requirements; define and apply inspection and testing methods.

  • Ensure corrective actions are taken for nonconformities across all stages of the quality system and production processes.

  • Support optimal use of Company resources; participate in loss analysis and focused improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor regulatory updates, publications, and legal changes related to areas of responsibility; inform senior management and employees and ensure necessary actions are taken.

  • Ensure Occupational Health and Safety rules are applied and required precautions are taken within the scope of responsibility.

  • Ensure activities comply with Environmental Management System requirements.

  • Organize task distribution for direct reports in line with work programs and monitor their performance.

  • Coordinate quality-related activities with Head Office and other plants.

  • Ensure team members comply with workplace principles, ethics, and discipline.

  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and departmental meetings with direct reports; evaluate feedback and implement appropriate improvement suggestions.

  • Lead, motivate, and continuously guide team members.

  • Evaluate team performance; identify training programs aimed at improving skills, productivity, and team engagement, and ensure delivery of such training.

  • Comply with Environmental Management System and Environmental Legislation requirements related to waste management and use of natural resources.

  • Report environmental issues or nonconformities to the Environmental Officer or Management Environmental Representative.

  • Perform other duties assigned by management within the scope of authority and responsibility.

  • Ensure all factory activities comply with food safety and prerequisite programs, PepsiCo requirements, and national/international food regulations.

  • Ensure implementation of hygiene management practices and HACCP principles.

  • Notify the Quality Control Manager of any food safety-related issues.

  • Comply with Food Safety Management System requirements and food legislation related to food safety.

  • Act in accordance with workplace ethics, principles, and disciplinary rules.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines)
  • Advanced level of English proficiency (written and spoken)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong managerial and leadership skills required for the position
