Quality Technician

What’s the Job?
The Quality Technician supports AirPro`s commitment to producing high‑quality products by performing inspections, tests, and data analysis throughout the manufacturing process. This role ensures products meet internal standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. The Quality Technician works closely with production, engineering, and quality leadership to identify nonconformances, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. This position plays a key role in maintaining documentation accuracy, improving processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
Position Requirements
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience (2+ years in a quality or inspection role).
  • Strong understanding of quality principles, inspection methods, and measurement tools.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn digital quality systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate findings to management.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Physical Requirements
This position requires regular presence on the production floor. Noise levels may range from moderate to high. Work occurs primarily indoors, with temperatures varying seasonally. The role may require standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs during inspections or equipment setup.
Job Duties & Skills
To be successful in this job with AirPro, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM/laser measurement systems.
  • Verify product conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support nonconformance management, including identification, documentation, segregation, and communication of defects.
  • Assist in root cause investigations and support CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) activities.
  • Conduct first‑article inspections and support PPAP or customer qualification processes.
  • Audit production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and work instructions.
  • Analyze quality data trends and prepare reports for management review.
  • Support calibration activities for measurement tools and equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving quality procedures, forms, and manuals.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including development of digital tools such as Power Apps or automated reporting dashboards.
  • Provide training to employees on inspection methods, quality standards, or documentation practices as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and improve product consistency.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Office equipment including computer, printer/copier, phone, etc.
  • Measurement devices such as fillet gauges, DFT gauges, micrometers.
